French-Brown manufactures borders, medallions, as well as  hardwood flooring plank in lengths up to ten feet, widths as wide as ten inches, and in rift, quarter sawn, or plain sawn milling.  For our Vintage products we add character and an old-world richness by hand-scraping each board and by rubbing in a tung oil based finish yielding a low-maintenance finish that ages like fine, well-conditioned leather.  We produce our classic patterns in standard dimensions or can scale them to meet specific client needs.  We also welcome custom patterns of virtually any design.

There is no substitute for the human hand and eye in the manufacturing of our products.  Our mill foreman is a master installation mechanic and oversees the production of every order, making sure that it meets French-Brown quality standards, and that it will install well on the jobsite.  Nothing leaves our mill without our mill foreman's personal stamp of approval.  Our associates have been trained to develop an eye for perfection and understand that the milling of quality plank, borders, and medallions demands attention to decades old practices developed by our company.  

For raw materials, we purchase the best domestic and imported lumber available from time tested sources who, like us have stringent and unyielding quality  standards.  We maintain a standing inventory of these materials in Dallas.

With each order, we consult with our clients offering our suggestions for species selection and pattern.  This assures that our clients are informed of the choices afforded them, and helps to assure that the finished product is tailored to the needs of a given room.
