French-Brown (established 1952) has been involved in the fine wood flooring business for decades. We have offered hand scraped floors for at least 40 years. Hand scraping, which predates electrical sanding, gives a fine wood floor a beautiful antique patina that a slick sanded surface cannot approach. It also helps to hide normal wear, scratches and dents that will inevitably occur over time. At French-Brown every piece is done individually and totally by hand.
